The Gaiety Theatre – or “The Grand Old Lady of South King Street” – is a vital expression of Irish culture and society. For the past 145 years, the theatre has continued to bring a wealth of drama, opera, musicals, comedy, dance and pantomime to the people living in, or just visiting, Dublin city. From comedies with Rosaleen Linehan and Des Keogh to edgy modern plays to exciting cultural experiences such as Riverdance, the Gaiety always offers a great night out.
If stones could speak the sturdy walls of The Gaiety Theatre would be excused for indulging in a lengthy monologue of name-dropping, for the house has witnessed the comings and goings of more famous figures and faces of the musical and dramatic stage than any building in this country.
Just 15 minutes drive away, or the same on public transport, Hotel 7 is your perfect choice of hotel near the Gaiety Theatre!
